Food Bank

We are a distribution centre for the Black County Food Bank, enabling us to offer support to local people who are experiencing temporary difficulties. In 2016, the Black County Food Bank network helped over 16,000 people in need in the local area.  We have helped 479 people so far this year (up to 7/9/17).

Reasons that people may need to access our Food Bank include: benefit delays, sanctions, temporary reductions in income, debts or setting up home after a period of homelessness.

To receive help from the Food Bank, you will need to obtain a Food Bank voucher. A full list of local organisations that can issue vouchers is available here..

Our Food Bank relies on donations from the public. We welcome donations of non-perishable food items, toiletries (including nappies), cleaning products and pet food. Please see our list of current shortages for details of items we are particularly in need of at the present time. Donations can be brought to our offices during out opening hours (Mon, Weds, Fri 9.30am – 3pm) or delivered to Methodist Central Hall in Walsall.

Our Food Bank opening times are:
Monday 10am – 2pm
Wednesday 10am – 2pm
Friday 10am – 2pm
Saturday 11am – 1pm

If you have a BCFB voucher and are seeking help outside of these hours a list of alternative local Food Banks can be found here…
